Mary-Kate Olsen Debuts Elizabeth and James Shoes -- On Her Feet!

Mary-Kate Olsen might have taken a front row seat at Proenza Schouler to check out the designing duo’s fall ’09 line, but the star was also showing off something new of her and sister Ashley‘s own design: Elizabeth and James shoes! The pint-size designer coordinated her turquoise dress and white Elizabeth and James blazer with a pair of black suede wedge heels from the new Elizabeth and James shoe line due out this spring. Mary-Kate’s pair are actually a prototype directly from the factory and is the line’s take on an ankle bootie, but with a sexy cut-out to show more skin. Wonder what fellow front row-er Nicole Richie thought of Mary-Kate’s design? Tell us: What do you think of Mary-Kate’s heels?

lol – my first thought exactly. ugly.

angie on

i’m more concerned with how skinny that foot/leg is that’s wearing those shoes than the shoes themselves.

I am in LOVE with those shoes, I cannot wait until I can get my hands on a pair! Mary-Kate and Ashley are so talented :)

UGLY…………. People now days are worried about themselves it not always about shoes

Not a very good photo but from what I can see, they might look nice but without bruises like those shown here? I don’t have feet for open toe shoes and enjoy finding something cool and closed toe. We’ll see?!?

That girl has some ugly feet, it looks like vericose veins going on there.

Iris on

Weird shoes just like her face.

steph on

her feet scare me

zooeyibz on

they look excruciating. how is a woman supposed to walk in those?

sasha on

oh please. no one has pretty feet – leave MK alone.
personally don’t find the shoes attractive, but have to hand it to her. very designer-y looking and will probably fly off the shelves.

Mary-kate and Ashley are incredible!

That is such a unique take on ankle booties, very avant garde but still chique. Love them!

her body language is always so unattractive. she should read Tim Gunn’s book – he’s got a great section in it on posture.

Love them!!!!

Why do Mary Kate and Ashley have to make “Joker” faces all the time??? Can’t they smile like normal people???

They look EXTREMELY uncomfortable (maybe that wierd shaped back on the shoe caused the bruises on her ankle)and very unstatble, like they might be very wobbly to try to walk in. I think High heels look classy, but extremely high and odd shaped heels remind me of stripper shoes….JMHO

The shoes are great, but not with her legs…

really UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both girls look healthy (not too thin like Lindsay Lohan) and it great shape. Sorry they are not obese like most Americans. I am the same short height and size as them. I am not really active, but I have a lot of work to do and eat 2000 calories a day (the recommended amount). I also only eat organic natural foods and cook all my dinners.. It isn’t that hard to be thin if you don’t eat out or buy microwave dinners. Stop bashing these beautiful girls!

I’m actually quite glad the Olsens are doing well, and think the Elizabeth and James line is decent… but I took a look at the fashion as it translated off the runway and it looked HORRENDOUS! The images on the site are gorgeous, but the actual clothes look so cheap and tacky! I’ve found better things at Target. I was really surprised how ugly some of the things looked. I posted a few pics on my blog:

Not good, right?

Marnz on

And what is so amazing about these overpriced shoes? They look so plain and boring… Go to Ross, you’ll find cuter shoes for a much better price!

People don’t seriously believe that the Olsens actually DESIGN anything themselves do they? There are REAL designers creating all the clothing and shoes and the Olsens give each item a thumbs up or down. These talented people will never get the credit they deserve.
