Justin Timberlake Blends Fashion and Family At William Rast

02/17/2009 at 06:20 PM ET

When William Rast co-founders Justin Timberlake and childhood friend Trace Ayala brought in husband-and-wife design team Marcella and Johan Lindeberg last year, the venture became even more like an extended family. “We talk about everything. Justin is even baby-sitting our daughter,” says Johan from backstage at the line’s debut show at Bryant Park. “We have a style that we all like. The foundation is there.” And Justin feels just as much of an understanding with the Lindebergs. Says Timberlake, “We inspire each other. For instance, this season, we’re inspired by Barack Obama. I am inspired [with] where we can go with the nation. That’s why we picked the theme of ‘New America’ for the show.” Timberlake’s girlfriend Jessica Biel is “so proud” of the direction they’ve taken. “They’re clearly taking it to another level. I want the whole line,” says the actress, who often test-runs the clothing. “I always wear the stuff and say, ‘This is tight here. Or this doesn’t work for me here.’ I’m sort of a guinea pig, really.” Even their moms are in awe. Justin’s mother Lynn Harless said of her disbelief before the show, “We came from a small town in Tennessee. And our kids are doing a fashion show at Bryant Park. What happened?” — reporting by Jeffrey Slonim

that’s nice that he is doing so well with his clothing line but I don,t believe Jessica she pretends to loathe the paparazzi, but actually has her publicist call them to staged photo ops? Her unsuspecting celebrity boyfriend can’t understand how the paps know exactly when they will be walking the dog or going to the market or how they know every other private move the couple makes. Well, we’re going to provide Mr. Naïve with a big box full of clues. Your girlfriend is known as a successful TV actress, but her film career has been less than stellar. Since her own career and life isn’t interesting enough to warrant lots of attention from the paps, she needs you in the photos with her to guarantee publication. Every time you are going to do anything together, she makes that stealth cellular phone call to her PR flack, who in turn notifies the press

I just saw their websitel; jeans alone $200 up. Thats great that his show went well, and that Biel wears that stuff. But she and other celebrities could afford the clothing. Its great clothing line if you exclude the prices. If and only if the prices were lower I would probably buy it

Congrats Justin and Trace. I’ve seen their jeans line…very nice but they are a bit expensive for the common person in this tough economic times or any times for that matter. I wish I’d be a guinea pig too like Jessica to try them on for free ;)

I Like Justin and Glad he is Happy , But as far as a New America ? Aside from the fact it was Congress he got us here in the first place 2 or so yrs ago and the fact that NO ONE read th Bill that Obama Signed today ( including Himself ) And the fact that there is lots of money in there in the millions for some very unscrupulous Organizations and the fact that We are Heading into a Chavez Like Socialism if Peeps dont wake up soon from their own Euphoria then We will be a New America And IT Wont Be Pretty and we will lose our freedoms one by one ! God Bless America and Choose Freedom !
