After almost three years, Mandy Moore’s clothing line Mblem is shutting its doors. The contemporary line launched in 2005 and was frequently spotted on the singer-actress-designer. Though her first foray into fashion is over, Mandy still hopes to try her hand at fashion again one day. “I love the fashion world. I’m fascinated by it. I’m humbled by it,” she said tells WWD. “If I were to dip my toe back in there, it would have to be the right situation… a great partnership that could represent a true reflection of me and my ideas and you know that wasn’t happening. So next go round, that needs to be top of the list.” As for now, Mandy is getting back to her roots and concentrating on her music career, releasing Amanda Leigh, a California ’70s-inspired pop album, on May 26. Though we are sad to see Mandy leave fashion, we can’t wait to hear her latest music.

I didn’t even know her line was still producing clothes at all. I guess it did better than I thought. Oh well, Mandy seems like a nice girl, hopefully her music will get better now that she has one thing to concentrate on.

Fashion Says Au Revoir To Mandy Moore « on

[…] seems as though selling $50 tee shirts isn’t that lucrative anymore because People reports that the pop tart renaissance woman known as Mandy Moore has closed her “fashion” […]

I do love Mandy as a singer / song writer…. but I don’t know why celebs have it in their heads that just because they are well known in their craft, they are entitled to a *clothing line* or *fragrance*. People study and prepare for such fields for years, they are not mere *perks* that come along with fame. I am never suprised when these fly by night endeavors fail.
