Anchor Blue Pulls the Plug on Heidi Montag's "Heidiwood" Line

10/22/2008 at 05:22 PM ET

Matt Sayles/AP

After just one year, Heidi Montag‘s fashion line “Heidiwood” for Anchor Blue is being discontinued. Marla White, Director of PR & Brand Development at Anchor Blue Retail Group, tells PEOPLE “Anchor Blue and Heidi Montag are pleased with what Heidiwood for Anchor Blue accomplished during this past year. However Anchor Blue chose not to extend the Heidiwood contract after the initial year as they will be concentrating solely on what their heritage, their foundation, is based on — denim. They are very excited about an initiative they are launching in February ’09 for guys and girls that will carry throughout the coming year.” Wonder if that means Heidi will be looking to design somewhere else. Tell us: Are you sad to see Heidiwood go?

I cannot believe that anyone would partner with Heidi on a business venture. The woman is desperately trying to make some money; how about getting a real job like the rest of us?

Meg on

Heidi needs to be in the spotlight so bad that she is two steps away from being a coked-out porn star.

Thats funny, I didn’t even know Heidi had a clothing line out. She needs to dump the troll she is dating and move on with her life. I think the public would look at her different if she wasn’t dating Spencer. He is so disgusting looking, not to mention his personality totally sucks…haha! Move on girl, maybe some more plastic surgery for your spencer?

mimi on

This girl is not talented at all, but in this day and age mtv and vh1 make famous anyone, no talent involved. her clothing line is made for teeny boppers and prostitutes, ugly ugly ugly.

Vicki Desmond on

If she would dump Spencer maybe it would of continued. He is bringing her down.

I just have to say, especially after watching the past few episodes of The Hills, that this girl has handed her life over to one of the WORST human beings I have ever witnessed. I really wish she would have more confidence in herself and leave him, give herself a chance to see that her life might just be better going it alone.

I think it is funny they dropped her line! Who would want to let Heidi of people design a fashion line?!?! She needs to stop being so desperate and needs to stay out of the hollywood eye!

Heidi needs to get a grip on reality. Can everyone be wrong about Spencer? Wake up Heidi, sometimes ‘friends’, but even your on ‘family’ sees it. I think that hair dye has seeped into your brain.

Kris on

” friends can be wrong”

Yeah, This person has no talent and so desperate to get in the publics affection she probably would put her nose upside down to get notararity what do I know I am in high school she is so fake and try to get notice on the curtail of some of the most famous people that have talent. She is such a loser her and her prat spencer and she is wormy just like what mk said on david letterman

Thank God…I HATE this girl. Her acting is crap, her singing his crap…cant blame anyone for pulling the plug on this also. And her boyfriend…God what a tool

Heidi’s line was trashy, to say the least. It is interesting how people made a huge deal about Lauren’s line being taken out of Kitson and criticized her line for being too simple and expensive. She still has a growing business, unlike Heidi. Better to be simple, classy, and a little expensive than to be ugly, trashy, and cheap (in both senses of the word).

The translation for that last sentence in the article: “We dumped Heidi’s line ’cause she sucks…by the way, buy our jeans!”

HEIDI dump the troll>

Am I sad to see Heidiwood go? Pshhh. No.

I personally dislike when celebrities start their own clothing lines, but I try hard to see their visions. Heidi, however, has no vision whatsoever. Anchor Blue made a big mistake and now they’re taking it back. Good move.

Does anyone else notice that Heidi has to do everything Lauren does? But of course Lauren always does it better. Also I bet Spencer was the one that wanted her to do it for the publicity, I hate that guy.

I am glad that Heidy’s contract is not renew. I find her immature, needy and very spacey. As a fried that should be her priority. Having a man in her life, should be there. She needs to respect herself, her boyfriend does not treat her well. Any mani in my life has to accept my friends. Men come and go, but friends are there forever. It shows how petty she is. Lauren has grown up, maybe heidy will too. She hopefully will find what is more important. friendship and family.

I echo Annie’s comments on disliking when celebrities start their own clothing lines. It takes away the uniqueness of real fashion designers who have studied hard and worked hard to get to the top. Thank goodness this particular company has come to its senses and discontinued business with this non-talent. Heidi, try working for a living. Your 15 minutes is almost up.

Ashley on

Who did not see this coming? I mean come on!

Heidi, if you’re reading this: DROP SPENCER. He is holding you back in every area of your life: work, friendships, and family. His buying you designer boots on your birthday does not make him a nice, decent, or thoughtful person, nor does it make up for all of the times he has hurt you, your family, your friends, and your career.

Are you kidding? What has she been getting / why has People been giving her so much coverage? She is neither interesting nor talented.

i am not sad at all.. actually they did us a favor. I think Heidi is wack n so is her wacko boyfriend.. she really needs to let him go.

Wow, I cannot believe Heidiwood lasted even a year… what is special about it she does not LOVE fashion like Lauren so why does any one give her the time of day. People have to understand that Heidi wants and whines for attention so much that when she gets it she looks like she has no CLUE what she is doing.

Pamela on

I bet only prostitutes bought her clothes anyways. How trashy can you get?

ttdgd on

lauren conrad line sucks too
so her will go out of business

Alyssa on

No way am I sad to see her line go. Why do D-lister “actresses” feel the need to fill the world with their hideously skanky apparal?? Good riddane.

tulip on

its pathetic that this girl just doesnt get it. she needs to get rid of that parasite, spencer, and maybe something positive will happen in her life. she has lost freinds, a cloting line, the respect of many, and risked her family relationships all because of one common denominator that poisons her life w/negativity….spencer. what else will she have to loose until she decides to leave him?

Reina on

Okay. Heidi needs to…stop being famous. That should be the final verdict for…everything. She just… needs to stop being famous. Hollywood has gone awry because people like her and Paris Hilton are making bank for practically nothing. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Heidi who????

I get the feeling that Anchor Blue and Heidi were on two seperate pages as far what the overall business plan was, what the target market was and how to actually sell Hediwood. I noticed not a lot of advertsing was done and I think Heidi was riding Anchor Blue’s coat tails. Hoping to make it big with very little effort, just like she did with The Hills.

oooooooooo my god it’s fantastic

The only thing that needs to b discontinued is Heidi and everything that comes with her in general. These ppl make me sick.
