Would You Wear a Hippie Headband Like Nicole?

This fall, we’re all about headbands.  Not only do they bring preppy glamour to the ladies of Gossip Girl, they also rescue us from our own bad hair days.  But we just aren’t as sure about the latest incarnation of this hair accessory–the hippie headband.  Nicole Richie wore a bejeweled version by Jennifer Behr recently, opting for a sparkling take on the retro head gear that looks more glam than Woodstock.  We think she pulls it off to a dazzling degree, but we can accept that it’s probably not for everyone. We want to know:  Would you wear a hippie headband?

She is young and cute so she can get away with it but that really was a trend many years ago, not so much anymore.
This type of headgear is great for the gym, running or biking more than anything and I think it looks childlike with all the glitter.

Nicole Richie looks great. she’s such a trend setter and ready to try something different. has nobody heard that spontaneity is in right now? i think everyones a little bit scared of a change, but i’ll definitely be following this example by Nicole!

I think it looks great :) I may wear a headband this way!

Nicole remains one my fashion inspirtaions, even with this look! It’s quirky and kind of gypsy-esque…I think it’s hot.

It didn’t work in the 70s and it doesn’t work now.

She looks like either A) a little kid playing dress up (I’m a pretty pretty princess) or B) Like she’s going to jazzercise with Richard Simmons.

It would be pure entertainment if these came back in full swing. Bring it on.

I absolutely would wear it if I was a few years younger. I love fashion risks. This one works.

How about !!!ICK!!! She looks ridiculous! Maybe she should have tried the thin braided leather headband if she wants to make a late 60’s early 70’s statement.

The hippie band don’t look bad on Nicole. I wouldn’t want a fad going on that everywhere you look you see them, like back in the day. I don’t think I would wear one now at 52. Though hey, it might look sharp on me. lol

for me, it depends on the outfit and the person..
every one at my school(including myself-sometimes)is into the whole “hippie-peace”
and i think it looks cute on her.
i do agree with Emily that the look kinda brings a trailer-park feel.. but i do like it(:
