Thakoon Panichgul joins the likes of Richard Chai, Rogan and others as the next limited-edition designer for Target’s GO International line. The designer who is known for his mixing of prints and modernized minimalism is set to release his collection at Target stores nationwide and on in late December. Thakoon’s designs will be on the floor for most of the month of January. Before designing his namesake line, Thakoon worked as a merchandizer at J.Crew and writer at Harper’s Bazaar. We love Thakoon’s simple structures and vintage looking prints, as do stars like Amanda Peet, Joy Bryant and Tracee Ellis Ross. Tell us: Are you excited for the Thakoon/ Target collaboration?

UPDATE:Cult favorite design team Hayden-Harnett are also signing on to partner with Target for a limited edition handbag line to be available at most Target stores nationwide and at from December 28, 2008 through March 8, 2009. So much for post-holiday blues!

although i’ve liked some of the designers, including thakoon, who have designed for target, i have yet to purchase a single item from the go international line.

why? because all the clothes are poorly made. i’ve seen stuff falling apart at the seams literally while still on the rack. i’d rather get no name clothing from various other stores that are the same price than cheap (both literally and figuratively) clothing from designers.

wow Angela, on the rack the seams are loose? That is very bad. Did u say something to that specific store?

I love Target but dont buy their Go line bc its expensive. Target’s brand(Circo) is fine for me.

Thanks for your help.

The only brand of clothing that I go with is the Mossimo line. The clothing is style that I like and fits right for my body type. But, I have to agree that some of the clothes, whatever the brand, have problems with seams.

When I saw his name, I had to look him up to make sure that I was right. I am so happy to see another Thai person that is making the fashion industry. Good for Thakoon. I will definately go to Target when they open up next year and buy his clothes. Dee jai mak!
