Lindsay's Next Role: Face of Fornarina

05/16/2008 at 04:00 PM ET

She might be about to make a foray into fashion with her own soon-to-launch line of leggings — but that doesn’t mean that Lindsay Lohan is saving her star style for her signature collection alone. Italian brand Fornarina, who will open a flagship store in New York this year, have just announced that they’ve chosen the actress as the face of their expanding international brand. A label spokesperson tells WWD they selected Lindsay because she “is that very self-confident, dynamic woman, she’s got a lot of attitude.” And, he adds, “That’s what we’re hoping our customer will aspire to.” And while for now Lindsay’s sticking to modeling for the company’s upcoming ad campaign, she reveals to WWD that although she’d love to design for the label in the future, “Right now, it’s just leggings for me.” Tell us: What do you think about Lindsay’s new role as the face of Fornarina?

All the make up in the world cannot help he washed out look blonde hair gives her. Her friends and family need to be honest and tell her to go back to brown, auburn or red hair – anything but this straw colored blonde.

What? The face of what? Fornication? You are going to regret this.

I think it was a great choice. Lindsay is very talented as a singer and actress…is just ends to choose better movies to be a part of.

Bad choice and image for the company, I guess
they will be regretting this in the future.
My God are all these celebs born to be designers and models for these great mega company, I just cant understand it. When outthere is a whole
bunch of really good designers struggling to be
recognized. The girl simply does not have an attitude, dynamic and self confident. If she
was really a self-confident girl, she would not
have done all those bad choices in her young life.

Hmmmmmmm…….. seems he left out drooling and passed out drunk. I know that’s what I aspire to.

Lindsay looks TERRIBLE in this pic – bad hair, bad top, bad makeup. Fornarina (a brand I’ve never heard of anyway) is definitely not going to get me to buy their product with Lindsay Lohan on its label. She is not someone I aspire to be – someone with drug and alcohol problems, someone who can’t keep up her end of a contract, and someone who steals a fur coat from a party.

I don’t think Lindsay Lohan is a good match for the brand. She’s too old for a start! And I’m surprised that the Fornari brothers have the time for her.

I’ll never, EVER purchase ANYTHING that skank is associated with………….EVER! She’s SO over with. Any company who uses her thinking their business will go up is sadly mistaken and this company will find that out real soon!

I’m a girl from Belgium and I’ve been a Fornarina fan from the very beginning when the brand was still relatively unknown. I wished they had chosen someone else to do this job. What happened with using real models to do an ad campaign?
