Would You Wear an Art Print Dress?

We’ve had to brush up on art history to prep for this season’s painterly tops and dresses so that we can approach each piece with a curator’s eye. And since colorblocking, ethereal watercolors and abstract brush strokes are ruling the runways, our closet’s starting to look like a mini museum. As a fan of every art-inspired look, we’re digging this Chloe dress worn by actress Emily Mortimer. Framed by black tights and eye-catching purple booties, the dress is truly a work of art. Other stars loving the trend? Demi Moore, whose YSL paint-splattered shift is perfect for a sunny summer day. Tell us: Are you feeling this artsy trend? Would you wear a painterly dress? What do you like about the look — or hate about it?

I just finished viewing the hit or miss photographs and the art print dress. I just have one question- Do these people own mirrors?
Granted some of the outfits were attractive, especially the ones that actually fit the body of the person that was wearing them.
Ugly is ugly, so matter who you are. Last but not least- leggings are back? – ugh!

By dressing ourselves we’re already creating a work of art. This new trend is just making it more intense and noticeable.
