Project Runway: Chris's Hirsute Couture Sends Him Packing

Last night’s Project Runway offered a little something for everybody: A dramatic elimination; warm and fuzzy visits between Tim Gunn and the contestants’ family and friends; and one hilarious animal analogy. But first, the elimination: Chris and Rami each had one more chance to prove to the judges that they deserved to show at Bryant Park. After presenting three looks from their full collections– all of them dark– the judges sent Chris home (again), though not without praising him for his intricate and creative vision– even if it was over-the-top. Rami passed through to the final three after displaying some versatility– something the judges thought was lacking in his previous designs. Taking it all in stride, Chris packed up and exited with one big belly-laugh. But that’s not all, click over to our TV Watch page to check out everything that went down on last night’s episode.

I loved that dress! Okay, human hair was very much unnecessary, but if the judges could get past it… I actually liked the look of Chris’s clothes much more than Rami’s.

weird how people freak out over human hair, but there is no problem with dead animals dangling around their necks. at least no one was killed for the human hair!

Not suprising, the judges have loved Rami from day one and have done mostly complaining about Chris all the while keeping him around ( minus his first trip home). Chris is still trying to make his mark on the fashion world unlike Rami who is already a “professional” designer i.e. he has already dressed Jessica Alba, and did you see his store front (huge) work space? It seemed a bit unfair because there where flaws in both Chris’ and Rami’s mini collections to take someone who is already a professional over some emerging talent which I thought the show was about? Go Christian and Go Jillian!

Chris has a great personality and very original fashion point of view. Rami’s collection though was more commercial and wearable and this is why he prevailed over Chris. I didn’t mind that Chris’s collection had human hair-it gave this flow-like look to the garments and it’s many times better choice then fur-no human gets killed and skinned down for it right?! For those who are eager to see his collection it is shown on Bravo TV website but beware that the 3 winners as well as Sweet P’s collections are there as well. Chris showed some very interesting print dresses that I absolutely loved.

bye bye chris! I loved him, but i did prefer Rami’s collection. Still routing for Christian to take it all!

I loved Chris’ collection. It was innovative and looked amazing. The fashion world needs to get off their high horse and recognize real creativity. Did you see the movement on those clothes? Human hair or not it was lovely. Rami didn’t impress me as much.
