The Samantha Who? star’s silvery Elie Saab gown inspired Chanel makeup artist, Kara Yoshimoto Bua, and Frederic Fekkai hair stylist, Adir Abergel, to recreate a stunning modernized Grace Kelly-meets-1930’s look. To get her red carpet ready, Kara Toshimoto Bua started with Chanel’s Naturally Luminous Fluid Makeup, $45, in shade 50 Natural for under the eyes as a concealer, between the brows, around the nose, mouth and chin and finally blended lightly down her neck and decolletage. The foundation was set with with Chanel’s Ultra-fine Translucent Powder, $60, and the lips were moisturized with Burts Bees honey lip balm,$3. The cheeks were then contoured with Chanel’s Toundra Silky Bronzer Powder, $46, and highlighted with Chanel Rose Petal Powder Blush for a shimmering pinky finish. Christina’s eyes were first blended with Chanel Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow #70 (silvery), $30, on lid, inner eye and bottom lash line to open and highlight eyes. Her eyes were then lined with Chanel Long-lasting Eyeliner Ebene 10, $27, blended out and elongated past end of outer eye to give the look of liquid liner. To really open the eye — without giving her the spidery dark under eye, two mascaras were used — Chanel Inimitable Waterproof 10 Black$27, was applied to the top lash line and the Inimitable in brun, $27, for the bottom lashes. To contrast her pale face palette, Christina’s lips were done with Chanel’s Lotus Rouge Creme Lipstick, $26, a blue-red sheer texture lipstick and lined with Cardamone Precision Lipdefiner, $26.

Frederic Fekkai hairstylist Adir Abergel wanted to take things off her face and to the side. First he applied Fekkai Shape and Set mist, $25, all over the hair from roots to ends then dried the hair with a T3 blow-dryer, about $200, using his hands only. After it was dry, he took a 1″ FHI curling iron, $195, to about 2 inch sections of the hair to achieve a “crimped” texture. He used a dime size of Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant soft pomade, $23, to texturize the hair for hold and pliability before putting it up. To complete the look, he hand raked her hair back into a low side ponytail and secured it into a loose ponytail with hair pins and a rubber band. Finally, a diamond broach by Lorraine Schwartz was added to the side of the ponytail and Fekkai Sheer hold hairspray, $23, was applied all over.
