Elisa Leaves Her Spit Mark on the "Runway"

Mitch Haaseth/Bravo

She spit on her dresses to bless them. She’s rubbed her fabric with grass to “imbibe it with a natural essence.” Nobody would confuse Elisa Jimenez, a practiced interdisciplinary artist, with a conventional Project Runway contestant. For six weeks, she was a singular and delightfully eccentric presence. But Jimenez was sent packing on Wednesday’s episode after failing to wow the judges with her candy-inspired dress. True to form, the designer left with some happy tears and a spiritual benediction (or at least that’s what it sounded like). Calling from her New Mexico home, Jimenez translated her parting words on the runway, explained why spitting is spiritual and her beef with dry cleaning. Click here to read the full interview only on PEOPLE.com. Come back and tell us what you think: Did Elisa deserve to be auf-ed?

Yes, she deserved to go. Her looks were consistently the weakest.

Oh yes, she needed to go! Not because of her unusual behavior, just because her clothes never looked good. (Which makes me wonder why she got on the show to begin with..) I thought her departure was actually kind of nice, and that’s a great photo of her.

Yes totally! She has a great personality but her looks were not original especially the last design was really bad. Brown dress with silver shower caps anybody????

while she seemed nice, her work wasn’t up to par to win….she deserved to be auf’d

I feel that Elisa put a ton of thought and love into her work… and it showed! While not my personal style, I admire her work… I totally thought she should have won the SJP challenge! I’m definitely sad to see her go.

She had a good heart that’s for sure. Never mean spirited. Very rare. But her clothes were pretty terrible and her explanations were even worse. Struck me more as a wannabe artist than a true artist. So far I love CHRISTIAN and Rami! They will prob make it to the final 3 along with curly haired, I forgot her name!!! That’s bad! The one who likes overalls…Lillian??

I have to admit, Elisa’s personality was out there, but she had heart, and she believed in everything she made, although I never quite understood it. I think she comes from a good place, and when she was discussing about being hit by a car and her missing out on chances, I truly felt for her. Her clothes are weird, but I guess they express her personality, problem is, not everyone has her personality, and most like clothes that are practical and wearable. I believed she should have been “out,” (Heidi’s saying) a few episode’s ago, and when she finally left, I thought it was the right choice, I even think some before her should have stayed, because they had way better taste then her, but whatever. Although I love Ricky, I think he means good and has true emotions and works hard, I do think he should go, he’s slid by a lot along with Sweet P, she’s gonna be a goner soon. I also love Rami and even though I don’t think the heavy guy (what’s his name? he came back for a second time) is gonna last long, but I sure love his personality. Lillian is good too.

I wouldn’t wear something that another person spit on.

Elisa is a pleasant person, but her designs were not satisfactory for my taste.

The young lady that has the beautiful curly hair is very talented — in my opinion, she should win first place more often.

Christian is very talented, but his critical remarks about the other’s designs turn me off. I believe he needs more self-esteem, but doesn’t know how to develop it, so he criticizes others. Also, he should have taken charge of his “client” and her prom dress, and should not have blamed her for the garment’s lack of continuity with the young lady.
