London Entertainment / Splash News Online

To celebrate her surprise win, Katherine Heigl went to lunch at famed L.A. eatery The Ivy, looking just as fabulous in her street wear as she did on the red carpet. The Emmy winner kept warm in an Juicy Couture grandfather cardign, oversized Dolce & Gabbana shades, Valentino’s must-have Maison bag and comfy Tory Burch leopard-print flats. We love Katherine’s style no matter where she is and though her white Zac Posen gown is harder to come by, we found the Grey’s star complete post-Emmy’s look–and of course some steals!

Ok, i know we all love her but lets please be realistic. She doesn’t look good in that. The colours are all wrong.. the red bag is totally out.

Chic?? Palease! More like tramp.

Love her! Hate the clothes!!

I kind of can’t believe that this outfit was over a $1000. Yikes. It’s pretty cheap looking.

I think Katherine Heigl looks gorgeous everywhere! Not only does she know how to dress, she is one of the few young actresses that actually knows how to act and keep her personal life private!

She’s so beautiful. Boring? This outfit doesn’t attract attention to her, isn’t showing unnecessary body parts, or flauting her body in a provocative way. Katherine looks lady like. We call this look CHIC and comfortable. She is understated and simple, but really chic and lovely. I like this look very much. This woman doesn’t deserve to dress like Britney Spears, Katherine has too much poise and class to do so.

I think she looks comfortable, yet very classic and the leopard print shoes and red bag give the outfit a subtle, yet necessary boost! I think the people that commented that she looks “boring, out of style, drab, not put together or dull” must not understand classic, comfortable, low-key everyday wear. I know this is hard to believe, especially in this day and time, but not every person, celebrity or not finds it necessary to always dress in a “here I am” outfit that shows entirely too much skin or is over the top with designer logos all over the material. This picture was taken during the daytime and the outift was totally appropriate for running errands, shopping, meeting friends for lunch, etc. Actually, in response to the comments about the outfit being out of style or her accessories being out, maybe those people should read a fashion update because red is a huge color this season for handbags. Calvin Klein does a great red flight bag, Michael Kors has a great red bag out, as do Zac Posen and many, many others. Also, in response to that comment, Nina Garcia, the fashion editor for Elle and a judge on Project Runway made a VERY smart comment in regards to the “it” bag for the season, she said “why would you want to spend a fortune on an “it” bag for the season that every other woman is going to be walking around with, instead use your own fashion sense and pick one that you really like or use one that you already have in your closet. Tailored pieces, classic fashion, higher necklines, oversize cardigans, animal prints and yes, red bags are all in this season and are wonderful timeless pieces. Katherine always looks great because she is not consumed with the latest and the greatest and she likes to dress and look comfortable during the day like most people. What should be the most in-style or in-fashion accessory should be self respect and the courage to dress the way that makes you comfortable whether it be a $100 dollar outfit or a $1000 dollar outfit. Self respect, being a classy woman, being well mannered and polite and being an individual will NEVER go out of style.

The sweater is adorable and I love the leopard flats. I really hope to see Katherine on the best dressed list this year!
