We saw Jessica Biel go darker a few weeks ago for her role in Powder Blue, and this weekend she showed her a polished version of her brunette look while hosting 3rd Annual Pink Party benefiting Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute. Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai did Jessica’s hair for the event, showing off what he tells PEOPLE is a “modern shag. It’s the modern version of Jane Fonda’s haircut from Klute. The color is a rich auburn brown.” And Adir told us how he created Jessica’s low-key look for the event. He applied Frederic Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel, $23 at, all over the roots before rubbing a dime size amount of Controle Ironless Straightening Balm, $25 at, all over her hair to the ends. Using a two inch round brush, he blow-dried all of her hair forward to frame her face with the cut’s heavy layers. To finish the look, he pieced out the ends with Coiff Nonchalant Piecing and Forming Wax to give it extra texture.

It’s hard to believe this is the same beautiful woman I saw in the illusionist. Bad haircut, it makes her look matronly.

its rare for me to say this about jessica biel but she looks good with that hair cut and the color, i´ve never noticed before she had green eyes

if Jessica shaved all her hair off, she would still look beautiful!!

Her hair would look better on a different face, her face doesnt seem to fit with the cut, I think it looks better mayble longer.. she has a horse mouth/teeth

Sorry you guys, hate to break the news to you…But she’s plain out UGLY. And her hair cut only makes matters worse.

Hate the cute…hate the color, even though it does bring out her eyes (i didnt know she had green eyes lol) This look just makes her look old.

her teeth are too large for that haircut. she needs a hair cut that is long and layered torwards her cheek bone. that haircut soesn’t look good at all. sorry i really like her but no.

To be honest I think she looks beautiful it took some time to get use to the dark color but with the new cut she looks fabulous!

That is the worse color and hair cut i ever seen. Her hair is frizzed out didn’t anyone teach her about conditioner?

I hate her hair that color and cut. It is not flattering at all. She looks much better with longer light brown hair, even a few blonde streaks. This haircut just seems masculine to me.

If she went dark for a role, she had no choice but to color it. It’s too dark for her skin & even though it empahsizes her eyes, it also makes her look to pasty pale & washed out. I like the cut, I was getting sick of her always with the waves around her face, it’s very modern but the color, not so much. Still, no matter what, she’s a beautiful girl.

Of course, dark hair always compliments the color of the eyes, but in this case while the color brings her eyes out, I just don’t think the color goes well with her skin tone. She should opt for a more golden brown or honey brown the next time. I know it’s for a movie roll, but hopefully she’ll choose something nice in case she decides to change her hair. Now her hair cut is not my style, but looks nice with her face shape in my opinion. She should create more width with her bangs. Long, side-swept bangs are very modern. Chin-length bobs {which she should do} and cuts are also ideal because they create the illusion of width. Curls and waves also add width, but avoid short layers that add volumn on top. Now Jessica would also look great with Long layers. Not nothing too long though and nothing too short, because that would elongate her face even more. If she had long hair past her shoulders, she should make sure to cut in a few long layers, esp. around her face. She should also consider a v-shaped style, where the length is mainly in the back, while the sides and front of the hair seem shorter. Then with the long layers she could use some great volumnizer, like the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray {my fave}.
