Ryan Phillippe's Homemade T-Shirts

05/03/2007 at 12:00 PM ET

Ryan Phillipe is so dedicated to the causes that he cares about, that he’s taken to making his own t-shirts in support of them! The actor first wore a Children’s Defense t-shirt out while running errands last Wednesday and then later wore an Africare t-shirt out to dinner. After searching high and low for the two statement tees, we learned that the single dad actually made them himself! Talk about showing support! Click here to learn more and visit childrensdefense.org to buy the foundations’s official tees (all proceeds go towards the cause). To learn more about Africare click here and to buy an official tee (all proceeds go towards the cause) visit Africare.org.

that’s cool that he supports these causes, but do these organizations not make shirts that benefit them? either way, the fact that he obviously made these shirts has brought more attention to them than if they had been store bought, which is even better exposure for the causes. who knows? maybe that what his plan!

resourceful way to advertise a good cause since he figured he’d be getting his pic taken. (still think he’s a dog)

That’s actually a great idea. Paprazzi follow these people everywhere so why not attract attention to something else as well.

I love anything that supports a cause – shirts, wristbands, bags, etc. Considering celebrities get photographed just about everywhere, it’s a great way to draw attention to some really important causes. To the other people posting, how do you know Ryan Phillippe’s a dog? I’m a fan of both him and Reese Witherspoon, but given how much of what’s reported and speculated on by the media, especially the TABLOID media, the only people who can say for sure what happened to their relationship are Reese and Ryan – but that of course is their own personal business. I think it’s great that even though their no longer together they are still committed to being good parents. Maybe people should focus on that, rather than what may or may not have happened.
