Predict-a-Gown: What Will Christina Wear to the Grammys?

02/02/2007 at 05:00 PM ET

Can we even remember the days that the now flawlessly turned out singer used to arrive to award shows in chaps and multi-colored extensions? We’re pretty confident that Christina Aguilera will stick to her now-signature platinum girls and sexy siren dresses for the Grammys next week. But which dress will it be? Roberto Cavalli has designed her tour costumes, so she could easily slip into this crystal encrusted showstopper from his spring collection. If she wants to go away from the white that she wore last year, she could opt for a shimmering black gown from Fendi. But what if for a real switch-up, she went short on the red carpet? She’d look flapper-fabulous in this fringed Zac Posen or glittering Behnaz Sarafpour. We’ll find out soon enough! Tell us: What do you think Christina should wear to the Grammys?

For all the award show gossip, check in with our Red Carpet Confidential blog.

Meh… none of those. She should wear this Elie Saab gown. It has her 40s glam flavor but the sleeve saves her from potentially becoming repetitive with just another deep-V halter.. PLUS it’s a great charcoal tone which goes really well with that platinum do of hers!

I dont think Christina would choose any of those dresses. If I had to pick one I’d say the Cavalli dress but the others I cant even imagine her wearing. The Black Fendi dress looks too plastic for her glamour style, the flapper dress is terrible with the green mint color, the last dress is ok but its too shiny and metal like.

I can’t explain why, and it would look terrible on almost anyone, but I adore the Posen dress… The rest I could take or leave (please leave, Christina!), but the Fendi is just awful. It looks like something Sharon Stone would cut the rear out of and wear down the red carpet in one of her dominatrix fantasies.

That Elie Saab is incredible!! The cut should be all wrong, but the dress just hangs perfectly and shines!

it looks like she has already wore that dress, but i think she might go with something that is a little more out there

I’m sure she would very nice in whatever she decides to wear. Maybe she should choose a def hairstyle. Just me.

RU on

She should wear a dress by Gucchi

I’m really loving the back-to-glamour that Christina has brought back. It is very becoming on her and her choices lately have fit the bill perfectly. I agree that the white dress looks the best but anything along that line would be great. Those others just WON’T do for our girl!

the white dress she is wearing in this pic is stunning

Out of the dresses to choose from, for sure the Zac Posen! It has the style that she is into right now, it is in a totally rock star color whic would work wonderfully with her light skin and eyes.

I predict that it will take one ton of fake tan, a half a ton of Barbie-Doll peach foundation, one hideously over-used stick of fire-engine red lipstick and a white, red or black dress. Something from the 20’s, 30’s, & 40’s that’s just “edgy” enough for such an pretentious egomaniac.

roberto cavalli’s crystal dress is gorgeous( i love the shoes…), but since it’s see-through it isn’t as glam as some other things christina’s worn…i also love the sarafpour flapper dress…but i think she’ll want something longer.

Trinity on

I would love to see her in something short and flapper-ish. But she probably will surprise us all with her crazy sense of fashion!

Jordan on

I think she might go short–either gold or red and none of the strange dresses that are suggested. No one, not even the model, can pull off that “flapper-fabulous” piece and the Behnaz dress is too plain. And while she would look good in the crystal-encrusted gown, I think she’ll go a little shorter than full length and it’ll be a color like gold or red.

It does not matter what she wears, she always looks good..that is unless she wears that ugly monkey around her neck..oh wait …I think that is her husband. Leave the monkey at home Christina.

Sarah on

I would definitely say the Cavalli over the others. The other ones seem a little more representative of her back in the day but the Cavalli is more glamorous and, we already know she loves his designs. Regardless, she’ll look stunning.

Emily on

she should wear a white pantsuit with her hair up, something sophisticated that still fits perfectly

Jaimie on

She will probably wear something classic and hottt, but I thnink that she would look the best in the short Behnaz Sarafpour dress. Its totally flapper-ific

marina on

she will wear something red, definately

katie on

I think she should wear something red and sparkley! I love her new look

jessie kreitman on

yeah so i dont know what she is going to wear but i would love if she tried something different sparkling and classy dresses are gr8 but maybe she could do alittle derek lam or Carolina Herrara or even marchesa (i love marchesa!) no matter what she will look amazing but switch it up girl

jessie kreitman on

i would love if she switched it up alittle with some marchesa, versace, or derek lam and carolina Herrara no matter what she will look amazing but get some color into ur wardrobe white is good sometimes but not all the time

None of them are suit for Chrstina! In case you haven’t noticed, she’s got the whole gorgeous glamour thing going on and those dresses would just throw off the whole style.

SAT on

ROBERTI CAVALLARI sheath!!!! She can carry the length, the cut is dynamite on her and the silver/diamond texture will be the bomb with her hair and makeup! I admire Christina, she has grown into a true woman, and a successful artist.

DivaPam on

I hope that Christina will wear something elegant so my vote is for designer Roberto Cavalli. She would look spectacular is any of his creations.

beth on

Hopefully none of those dresses. Although, if she had to pick – I’d guess she’d pick the Zac Posen dress – even though it’s not a new style for her. I’d like to see her look a little more modern. I think it’s cool how she’s embraced the 20’s-40’s era look, but I think it’d surprise everyone if she came with a style that was 2007.

KC on

She will clearly stick to the costume of choice for her this album, and that’s 40’s glam. She needs to be herself and not some albume to album theme she has no real style sense of her own?

Courtney77 on

She has been wearing a lot of the same looks to big award shows latley and ALWAYS has the same hair and makeup. I really hope she does something different but I highly doubt she will.

stephen on

i hope she will wear a Monique Lhuiller gown!… i like the simplicity of her gowns and im sure that it will bring out the real beauty of Christina…

Aaron on

Personally, I think Christina will look absolutely gorgeous in whatever outfit she picks. I have yet to see her enter a red carpet event in something I didn’t like and wasn’t flattering to amazing figure. Even if she were to pick something that no one liked, you have to admit, her beauty makes up for everything!

Vicky on

I love the new “40’s glamour” look she’s been wearing. This picture shows her in the best dress. She needs to continue along these lines.

brandi on

black FENDI and an updo

rachel b. on

Something black in prada!

Wafa on

hmm…well im pretty sure Christina Aguilera would choose any of them even if she doesnt cuz she can make ANYTHING work!!! believe me..

Rachel on

I love it, but I wonder what the runway piture would look on top of her dress.
