What Are Your Style Resolutions for 2007?

12/29/2006 at 05:00 PM ET

We can only hope that getting rid of head scarves and oversize glasses are somewhere on Lindsay Lohan’s list of New Year’s resolutions (ditto to you, Nicole Richie). There are plenty of trends that we are more than happy to leave behind in 2006 — buh-bye, skulls –, and some that have the legs to take us into 2007 and beyond, like our beloved ballet flats. In the New Year, we resolve to keep open minds and try new looks that we aren’t sure about on the hanger. We also vow not to shell out big bucks for things just because they are trendy and, of course, to finally organize our closets! But tell us: What are your style resolutions for the New Year? What resolutions do you wish stars would make?

Check out all the trends worth keeping — and losing — in our special Top 5 Gallery.

My main style resolution? To be effortlessly fly. At all times.

PS. I wish L. Lo would run a comb through her hair. Several times a day.

Haley on

To not look like Lindsay Hohan!!

andrea on

i can’t help but notice her uncanny resemblance to axyl rose in this pic.

my style resolution is to continue being myself, no matter how many times i hear that something is out of style.

Rebecca on

I wish stars would resolve to wear panties any time they have a skirt on that might possibly expose their clean-shaven (or not so clean) private bits.

Sarah on

My resolution is to look less at name brands and look more at style. I know I can make some amazing outfits from clothes that won’t break my bank.

marie on

Lindsay, Axl Rose called, he wants his look back! Ever heard of a hair brush??

i have to agree with Sarah on the resolution, you don’t need to break the bank to look good!!

lolo on

Wow!!! She’s so a hottie. That outfit should catch Borgen’s attention.

Lola on

um she looks scrapy like heck.eeewww.my resolution is like sarahs to not look at brands so much and get whats more (and cheaper)in style. you dont have to be broke to be in style!!**

Lola on

umm thats just sick she can do WAY better… =s

Always be youself but one must never forget fashion in life.

Lohan love to wears colorful scarf as a bandanna. I don’t like bandannas in general, but Lindsay makes it look cool here!

Yup, another shot of Lindsay in a bikini. Just what I wanted to see. How about putting on some clothes. As for me, I’m planning on spending some time on getting back into shape so I have more energy to chase after my twins. Oh and get some sleep now that they are older.

I’ve rocked the scarf look for years. These girls smash the cool vibe and ruin things within months.

micheleee. on

Like B said above: I’ve been wearing scarves on my head for a while but these girls have ruined the style completely by making it another “trend” gone in months.

She said the other day that her legs where too bruised to where shorts. I was hoping that would be the last for awhile that we’d see her in bikini’s too. But alas, I was wrong. What’s with the person behind her. Is she stopping someone from looking up Lindsay’s back side?

LeeLee on

Piercings -espically belly ones- should’ve been left behind long ago.
I am also tired of strapless dresses.

reyna on

to keep watching what the starlets wear so as to know what trend NOT to follow- these girls look ridiculous.

What has happened to fashion? It is in the pits.

My style resolution is to try and be a little more adventrous with new clothing instead of always being so safe and staying with a lot of key modern pieces. I want to look fierce in something totally brand new for me!

lex on

my style resolution is to put a little more effort into what i choose to wear…i usually just throw on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt in the name of comfort and ease, but i need to remember that looking more put-together can be important and you do not have to necessarily sacrifice a lot of time or comfort to look fabulous. :)

my style resolution is nothing. … well to simply continue being hott!!!!! im flawless…. but i dont expose my privates … gawd wear a thong at least …. and to never ever look like britney spears.

Racchel on

it’s freaking ridiculous these girls, like nicole richie, lindsay lohan, mary-kate and all those slobs! they’re worth frickin’ millions of dollars, can’t they at least have the decencey to brush they’re frizzy, dried out, tangled, jacked up hair!!!!???

Racchel on

Also my style resolution is to: give up my addiction to following every darn trend, it’s like skulls came in and poof! i had a bunch of stuff with skulls, and then leggings came in and then poof! i’m addicted to leggings, and then vests came in and i bought like maybe 5 vests. and another style resolution is to not so much wear what’s in but to not wear what’s out because there are so many other things that you can wear that are not out and that are not in either, because i believe every person in the world has and should have their very own style! but i also think it’s the store’s out there that don’t offer everything on the market i mean i understand why they would put more trendy stuff cuz it sells, but they should have more choices that way we can find cool stuff we love and not seem like trend-slaves!

Quinci on

My style resolution is to NEVER wear skinny jeans. I never have and I never will.

sarah on

mmm well i say who freaking cares what’s in or out? i’ve worn the whole punkish girlie look for a while now, even before this year when it became “popular” to wear skulls. who cares what a magazine tells you what’s in or out? if you can rock it, go for it!

lizz on

i am so ready for stars to be over the ratty hair look and i cant wait for those big sun glasses to go out too, they were cool for a while but know i find them just weird.

enigma on

To mix n’ match Cache and Royal Robbins.

High Fashion meets the Outdoors!

SA on

To wear more Valentino.

jj on

she looks stupid… comb that hair!

enigma on

Hey “ILOVEYOU!” you should change your name to……

You need to chill with your comments there girlie girl, just reading your other comments from “off the rack”!

“You have money” “You are flawless!” “You have 300 purses” “and, You’re only 15 or 16”

Hey People magazine…..isn’t there an age requirement to post a blog!

Haley on

Get over yourself, you loser!!!! LMAO!

Haley on

BTW, the previous comment of mine was aimed at ILOVEYOU… dumbs***!!!

MK on

to never succumb to the horrid UGG boot fad… like plops of camel on your feet…

taylor on

why in the world does any one care about lindsey lohan she dont care about us???

im gunna stop absessin over da celebs

sam on

it looks like she didn’t even try to brush her hair.. ewww…

sam on

she looks like she didn’t even try to brush her hair before going out…. ewww.

nottellingyou on

i will NEVER a bikini….if a star cant pull it off, i definitely cant!!!!
im not even gonna comment on the hair cause well its umm “interesting”

VM on

I think that Linsay should lose the head bandana.
She also really needs to brush her hair.

jessica on

I love that she wears Lanvin Ballet flats and Alexander McQueen skull scarves. It’s totally her style.
I found this site http://www.satineboutique.com and they have everything that she wears. No wonder its based in los Angeles. I read that her stylist shops there all the time.

Niki on

I’d almost h8 2 say it but Lindsay almost always looks fabulous! With the exception of course of that Photo of her in the Bikini and Bandana. She looks like she was channeling Axel Rose or something!
