What Are Your Style Resolutions for 2007?

12/29/2006 at 05:00 PM ET

We can only hope that getting rid of head scarves and oversize glasses are somewhere on Lindsay Lohan’s list of New Year’s resolutions (ditto to you, Nicole Richie). There are plenty of trends that we are more than happy to leave behind in 2006 — buh-bye, skulls –, and some that have the legs to take us into 2007 and beyond, like our beloved ballet flats. In the New Year, we resolve to keep open minds and try new looks that we aren’t sure about on the hanger. We also vow not to shell out big bucks for things just because they are trendy and, of course, to finally organize our closets! But tell us: What are your style resolutions for the New Year? What resolutions do you wish stars would make?

Check out all the trends worth keeping — and losing — in our special Top 5 Gallery.

it’s freaking ridiculous these girls, like nicole richie, lindsay lohan, mary-kate and all those slobs! they’re worth frickin’ millions of dollars, can’t they at least have the decencey to brush they’re frizzy, dried out, tangled, jacked up hair!!!!???

Also my style resolution is to: give up my addiction to following every darn trend, it’s like skulls came in and poof! i had a bunch of stuff with skulls, and then leggings came in and then poof! i’m addicted to leggings, and then vests came in and i bought like maybe 5 vests. and another style resolution is to not so much wear what’s in but to not wear what’s out because there are so many other things that you can wear that are not out and that are not in either, because i believe every person in the world has and should have their very own style! but i also think it’s the store’s out there that don’t offer everything on the market i mean i understand why they would put more trendy stuff cuz it sells, but they should have more choices that way we can find cool stuff we love and not seem like trend-slaves!

My style resolution is to NEVER wear skinny jeans. I never have and I never will.

mmm well i say who freaking cares what’s in or out? i’ve worn the whole punkish girlie look for a while now, even before this year when it became “popular” to wear skulls. who cares what a magazine tells you what’s in or out? if you can rock it, go for it!
