My Hair Secret Weapon: Terax

12/27/2006 at 03:00 PM ET

I can accept that my body is never going to look like Kate Beckinsale’s or Demi Moore’s, but at least I have a shot at hair like theirs. I have become obsessed with Terax, a European cult favorite that is best known for the Crema conditioner which both Beckinsale and Moore swear by. And for good reason! My hair is softer and shinier than I can remember it being in years (and I swear it cuts down on my blow-drying time). I can’t get enough of the Latte shampoo, which takes off the gunky residue that my styling products have left on my hair and smells like the most amazing coffee dessert ever. If your hair is oily, try the minty Bosco, or for a light leave-in conditioner, try the Life Drops. The added bonus of all the formulas? The recently re-designed bottles are totally adorable, too. — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Is it in stores?

My hair is fried and I love trying out new products, so thanks—this can be my post-Christmas present to myself!

Please let us know where we can buy it!

I am dying to purchase this product. Please let me know if I can buy it in USA. Thanks

Everyone, you can buy it at I missed the link the first time too. It’s $22.00. A bit much for me. I’ve been using Dove’s Silk and Smooth. It’s $6.95 up here in Canada.

It is available in Canada at

I’m the first one to love beauty products. But with all the money we just spent on Christmas, fancy hair products are not an option! And who really needs them once you read my beauty secret? Here’s what you do, wash your hair, spitz in some leave in conditioner, then do a wrap with bobbie pins! Us puerto ricans (and domincans) call it a “doobie”! Perfect for when you are to lazy to blow dry (or just can’t do it well)! My college roomate loved it! She was Pakistani and never heard of it! If it works for the “kinkeros” that girls of color sometimes have, it will work for caucasian girls too! Try it once, you’ll never blow dry again!

Thanks, V.

What KT from Cda? I got the part about washing your hair and spraying on the leave-in conditioner. But what are you saying about the bobby pins? You do what with them?

erica on

I do this also…you literally wrap your hair around your head, then secure it with bobby pins! Works like a charm!

KT fr Cda on

Amber, I didn’t say that, it was Evenly Ross that said that. I’m the one that said I use Dove.

This product has been around for ages….It is not new- just new packaging and in my opinion, it does not work at all as well as the original and they raised the price!

So wrap your hair in like a bun?

nm on

i agree who needs lotion to beautiful?! All you need is your dignity and pride.

erica on

HA, no you wrap it very flat around your head, then secure with bobby pins! Depending on your hair length you might have to wrap it twice. It really straghtens the hair!

KT fr Cda on

Erica, do you put the pins on the towel to keep the towel on you head? I’m a little confused. Can tou explain it again?
