Cole-Haan Takes Off for Charity

10/13/2006 at 10:32 AM ET

I am in love with Cole-Haan lately. Not only do they make the most comfortable heels, but they are also charitably minded. During their annual Sole to Soul event, running in their retail stores from Oct. 13-22, they will give you 20% off your purchase for bringing in a pair of gently used shoes to donate to a local charity with soul (click here to see the list.) What could be better than helping those in need, while getting a discount on items like the beautiful Nydia boots, $330 (left)? — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Instead of giving you 20% off a pair of shoes for bring in an old pair for the needy, why don’t they give the 20% to charity to help them out?

Those boots are very cute, but there is no way I will spend $330 for a pair of shoes!!

A on!!! unfortunately, even after the 20% off they are out of my price range. :(

Although they are cute boots, why would anyone spend that much money on a pair of boots that you probably wouldn’t wear that much? What a waist of money!!

I will definitely be taking advantage of this opportunity this weekend! I’ve been hitting their website daily thinking about what shoes I want to buy!

SOOOOOOOOOO Cute! Unfortunately, I have to agree…way out of my price range too. Are there any out there that are similar, but not so costly??

Why would you think they are way out of the price range? They aren’t that expensive. Besides they are a pair boots do you expect them to be $5?

those boots are so cute and if I was older and had money to blow them i would buy them but i don’t think i will ever pay that much for a pair of boots unless i was rich.

Try looking in a DSW store near you they have some boots that look similar to those but i’m sure they are a lot less money!
