Trend Worth Trying: Mocha Dresses

09/06/2006 at 10:00 AM ET

Sometimes, gorgeous and stylish minds think alike. Eva Mendes, Beyonce and Halle Berry have all stepped out recently in cafe au lait colored jersey dresses that cling to their curves and set off their skin tones beautifully. The best part is that this color is universally flattering, setting off any skin tone from super-pale to super-dark. So not only do they get to look gorgeous, but they get a comfy dress in the process. You can even take this look into fall by layering a t-shirt underneath or adding a cardigan on top.

Want the look too?

For a Splurge, try T-bags at Active Endeavors, $150

For a Steal, try Old Navy, $30.

Rachel Bilson wore a mocha/brown colored dress today (Sept. 7) on Regis and Kelly that was so cute. Where can I find it?

I love the brown dresses :) Speaking of Beyonce though, I really love the green hooded camo dress she is wearing in her Ring the Alarm video. Anyone have any idea of the brand or where to find it?

Rachel Bilson’s Regis and Kelly dress is Dolce & Gabbana

i think that they are a really pretty, casual style. some cuts make you look pregnant though, halle berry has a great figure but i mean come on, even she is pushing the limit. the wind must have hit her the wrong way. the mocha is gorgeous on all skin tones, makes you look tanner, brings out the color of your hair and eyes

The color is flattering, but the fabric looks like something you would wear around the house and not care if you spill some ketchup on it. You know what i mean?

The dresses are beautiful!!!, but Halle Berry has always had a flat stomach, is she pregnant???? Come entertainment news did you miss this story???

Moca is a very nice color on most women! I would ware the color.

Wow…I wouldn’t want to be Halle Berry – I mean, why does she have to be pregnant just because there is a microscopic, almost invisible bump showing? Maybe she just ate a really big meal or has bad gas or something!! Celebrities get bloated too.

Anyway, I love this colour and the fabric is actually very flattering BUT beware-it tends to snag VERY easily. I have a skirt made of this fabric and it has snags from my seatbelt on it!

The Mocha Dress is adorable. I love it! All three ladies Eva, Beyonce and Halle look good in it, too. Each woman makes it her own! :)
