Mariah-Oh-Meter: Rate Her Look

08/07/2006 at 03:21 PM ET

How low did the scantily-dressed star go this weekend (with a one being Congresswoman conservative, and a ten being ready for her video vixen close-up)? Let’s check it out:

Exhibit A (left): The Adventures of Mimi Tour, Miami Saturday night
For this outfit, I’d rate Mariah an eight. She’s not quite off the charts, because she’s got her top and bottom both fully-covered (to which we say: Bravo, Mariah!), but that streaming chiffon—not to mention bare belly—definitely makes this borderline lingerie.

Exhibit B (near left): After-concert party, club Nocturnal
What, no plunging neckline? Or sky-high slit? Post-show, Mariah tones things down to a five, in a minidress that actually looks like it’s the right size.

On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate Mariah’s oh-factor in these looks? Let me know! Galina Espinoza

I think Mariah does not know how to dress. Does she have a stylist? I think she needs one. She is 36 years old and needs to be more classy at her age. Her aqua dress is cute and it is the first dress that she finally looks good in.

I think that in both of these pictures Mariah is…well, Mariah. She is dressed exactly the way we have come to know her and that is neither good nor bad (although the little turquoise dress is sweet). She has been through some hard times and has earned her way back to the top, along with the right to wear whatever the heck makes her happy. Would I wear lingerie on tour? No. But I also wouldn’t walk my dog in stilettos either-and I’m not Mimi. To each her own.

I liked Mariah when she first started. Don’t get me wrong…I love her voice too but I really think she needs to dress appropriately. She should set a great example especially to those who are a lot younger than her. She can always dress sexy but it should be done with class.

for someone her age she could pull a lot of looks off. Sometimes she should be dressing a little more classy but at the same time is she wrong for wearing the kind of outfits she wears, she has the body for it

Mariah Carey is an absolute fashion disaster. She just exudes trash. Mariah you should dress more like your voice…beautiful and one of a kind.

I think she needs to start dressing like an adult, not an adult film star. Sure she may have a nice body but she needs to start dressing like she was 36 not in her 6 year old sisters clothes.

T-R-A-S-H-Y. Is it legal for a 38-39ish year old to wear this on public? God, I hope not.

I think Mariah is sexy, but you can still be sexy and not wear skimpy items. She is a beautiful person, but she needs to calm down with all the lil skirts and lil tops and put a little “CLASS” along with her sexy and she will be good.

Hmmmmm were shall I start. She has a great voice but no style. She dresses like she’s ready to come out in a rap video. Some people never grow up and think they are 21 “forever”. Maybe some day she’ll learn to dress according to her age.

PLEASE, somebody get Mariah a stylist to bring her into the 21st century. She is a beautiful woman and needs to find more suitable clothes. She looks trashy-sexy, not elegant/sexy. She really need to update her hair also. Time for a change Mariah!!!!!! PLEASE—no more mini dresses!!!!
